norfolkparents.org.uk is the online home of Norfolk Disabled Parents Alliance.

Norfolk Disabled Parents Alliance is a voluntary group run by and for disabled parents in Norfolk.
- Norfolk Disabled Parents Alliance is independent.
- We are not part of Social Services or any other statutory service.
- We can say when disabled parents in Norfolk have problems with services.
- NDPA can help to plan better services, based on what disabled parents in Norfolk tell us.
We include

- all parents with physical, sensory, learning or cognitive difficulties, mental health issues, and long term conditions. This includes long term conditions arising from substance abuse.
- their partners, children and family.
- people who work with disabled parents and their families
all other supporters.

We work for
- choice and equality for all disabled parents and their families.
- good support for disabled parents and their families, when needed.
We provide

- information.
- a way to have a say about services.
- training for supporters.
- a network of disabled parents and supporters.
- a members newsletter.
- Update, our email newsletter.
Norfolk Disabled Parents Alliance includes all disabled parents, parents-to-be, adoptive and foster parents, and others interested in disability, family or community welfare.
We say "disabled parent" when we mean a parent who finds physical barriers and social attitudes make it difficult to live like everyone else. This can happen when buildings and services are not planned for people with impairments.
This way of thinking about disability is called the Social Model of Disability.
