Norfolk's revised policy and protocol for joint working between Community Care (all services working with disabled or ill adults who have dependent children) and Children's Services is Version 3, published in October 2011. 

The revision takes account of changes since the first version was created in March 2006, such as personal budgets and wider use of  CAF (Common Assessment Framework). The principles of the original policy and protocol remain the same.

The full name for the Disabled Parents' Protocol is "Enabling Parents with a Disability or Long Term Illness."
